intersección

“Intersection” — the place where two lines, surfaces, or bodies meet — is the concept behind the flamenco show by dancers Fernando Jiménez and Ángel Fariña, to be performed on Saturday, February 4, at 8 p.m. in Sala Central Lechera, as part of the Teatros de Cádiz winter program.

Intersection is an imaginary journey through memories of great figures who shaped Spanish and Latin American culture. Jiménez and Fariña draw inspiration from famous artistic duos — sometimes partners, sometimes rivals — such as Mario Maya and El Güito, Góngora and Quevedo, Lorca and Dalí, Lola Flores and Manolo Caracol, and Chavela Vargas and Frida Kahlo.

Guided by emotions like complicity, rivalry, pride, jealousy, and passion, the show lets song, guitar, and dance tell a story that evokes the magic born from human connection.
